“Although I’m the second youngest of seven sons, I was the one who took over the farm from my parents. I rebuilt our family home in 1999. I love milking best of all. When my red-pied cattle are in the milking parlour and the milk churns are filling up, that’s the best feeling. I’m always busy looking after my 60 cows and managing our breeding programme. My particular focus is on sustainability and protein content, because that’s what is best for De Graafstroom’s cheese.”
