“Actually, I was going to be a teacher, but when my father offered me the chance to start my own farm in Odijk, of course, I couldn’t refuse. The pigsties were already here, but we built a cowshed where I’ve been milking my cows now for 30 years. I have a wonderful mix of cattle breeds on the farm, but all of them give good milk. I’m glad De Graafstroom turns it into delicious cheese. I don’t farm pigs anymore, but I do have chickens, cows and a pony, which is great fun when the grandchildren come to visit.”
